Yes. Start a short session with a ready story: up to three pages together, then a few words to practice. No account or microphone needed. Sign in with Google when you want to make your first personalized book, free and without a credit card.
What does the free plan include?
Three starter stories, one free personalized book per account, read-aloud help, reading practice, and spelling practice. Your custom book stays readable. Deleting it does not reset the free creation.
What do paid plans include?
Parent is US$9.99/month for 10 new books per calendar month. Teacher is US$19.99/month for 30. Both allow up to three creations per day and unlimited saved books. Allowances renew on the first of each month in UTC; unused creations do not roll over.
Will this teach my child to read independently?
KindyAI is a tool for reading practice with an adult. Sentence length and word choices are guided by your selected stage. It does not replace a phonics curriculum, a teacher, or a reading assessment.
Do we need a microphone?
No microphone is needed to listen and read together or to practice spelling. Reading aloud can use your browser's speech recognition when supported. You can continue with an adult if recognition is unavailable.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep reading every saved book. You can cancel through your account. New paid creations stop when your subscription ends.
